At this time, she was going to Queens College in NY. Her fellow panelists were 2 sociology grad students from UT-Austin.
March 2004 / Boston / Asian American Studies conference Vijay Prashad (Trinity College, Hartford, CT) and Vivek Bald (NYU grad student) discussing the latter's documentary film, "Mutiny: Asians Storm British Music".
Bald (a.k.a. DJ Siraiki) talking about South Asian youth, music, and politics in the UK during the 1970's through the 90's.
*Mutiny was a NY space/event created in 1997 by DJs Rekha and Siraiki to play jungle, drum 'n bass, and other kinds of music coming out of Asian Britain that weren't bhangra nor hindi remixes. It lasted for about 5 years.
